  • Lone Wolf

    Lone Wolf

This lone wolf passed me on Denali park road yesterday. Passed me on the road like I wasn't even there. I didn't take any chances though I got back in my car and made sure all my windows were rolled up.

    Dangerous Future

Another shot of Polychrome Pass. Believe it or not, but this is a two lane road. Passing oncoming traffic can be a nail biting experience for the vehicle on the outside.

  • Rabbit explosion

    Rabbit explosion

The snowshoe hare is almost at it's explosion peak this year. They come out to the road to eat the minerals out of the dirt. A little bit earlier the bus driver that is approaching told me that there was a bear chasing the rabbits in this location.

  • Life and death

The be on the right is alive while the bee on the left died while gathering nectar

  • You look tasty

    You look tasty

I moved a little too quickly trying to get into positin to capture the shot. Her head immediately swiveled in my direction. I all of a sudden realized that I am probably a lot more tasty than berries

  • Impressive Rack

    Impressive Rack

Beautiful rack of antlers on this bull caribou that I spotted at the Savage river in Denali park

  • Bite to eat

    Bite to eat

Took time out of grabbing a bite to eat to see what I was doing.

  • Worked to Death

    Worked to Death

Taking pictures of the wildflowers and bees I noticed that this little guy wasn't moving. After watching it a little longer I realized that this bee died right in the middle of collecting nectar. Just to be sure I gave him a little nudge. It didn't move at all. It remained firmly grasped to the flower.

Moiunt Pendelton stands 7,840 feet. This shot was taken from Polychrome Pass I was srawn to this shot because of how the light was falling across the mountain range. The angles of the mountain creating highlihgts and shadows giving the mountain depth.
