The northern lights captured over Girdwood on October 23, 2016. I thought that this night wouldn't produce much in the way of northern lights. As you can see I was very wrong. Luckily I was in the right place. At the right time. With the right equipment.
I stopped at the little susitna river crossing in Hatchers Pass to take some night shots of the river with the northern lights dancing over head. There were already a couple of people there doing the same. The guy that was standing next to me was doing steel wool light trails. I'm not sure who he was or I would give him credit. It made for a very interesting picture. Thank you stranger.
