Huge ice cave at Byron Glacier. To me it resembles a giant yawning. The opening of this cave was approximately 2 stories tall. As far as I could tell it was a few hundred yards deep, carved by the river of glacial melt. For the record, I did not go into the cave because of the cave in dangers. While I was there numerous people entered the ice cave to explore.
A brillant green meteor falls to the earth just as the sun sets for the night. There were so many things happening while taking this picture. Beluga wahales were fishing for salmon just yards off the shore. I could hear them as they surfaced at the mouth of the river. The tide was receding. I could hear the rushing of the water as it swept past me. Behind me there was a steady stream of traffic going up and down the Seward highway. Right after this picture I turned around to that the northern lights were out.
