The sky was gray all day long. Then just as the sun was getting ready to set the clouds opened up to a odd winter rainfall. Suddenly Everything had a orangish glow to it. I jumpoed into my truck and headed down the Seward Highway to see if I could find some good stormy shots. That is when I happened upon the end of the rainbow at Potter Marsh. No, I didn't find the pot of gold or a leprechaun.
The almost completely full harvest moon as it is about to set behind the mountain side. You can see my snow tracks in the image. What you can't see is how deep the snow is. I stand around 6 foot 3 inches. The snow in this area was came up to mid stomach on me. I was surprised that the the snow was already so deep this early in the season. To the right are the fog covered lights of Anchorage, Alaska
