    The family and I took the Smith Family Fern Grotto tour on the Wailua River. After a nice 15 minute boat ride we arrived at the docks to the Fern Grotto. The pathway to grotto was lined with beautiful Hawaiian plants . The short hike was easily my favorite part of the whole tour.

    The McBryde Sugar Plantation Cemetery sits below the industrail area of Ele'Ele. Where the Industrial buildings sit, there used to be acres on top of acres of sugar cane. The cemetery contains the graves of Japenese and Chinese workers.

    Ke Ala Hele Makalae also know as the Kauai Multiuse Path has great views. The trail is around 7-10 miles long. Every mile of it has great photo ops.

    The first beach that we came across was Mahaulepu Beach. It sits at the end of the Mahaulepu Heritage Trail in Poipu, Kauai. The beach was pretty empty as we rode across the beach on our CJM Stables, guided horse ride.
