The sunsets are more beautiful than normal in both Spring and Autumn. The Turnagain Arm is one of the best places to capture the beauty of the colorful sunsets. This is one of my larger pictures at 160.96 megapixels. It is comprised of 10 vertical shots stitched together.
Volcanic Sunset - Sunset photo traken across Turnagain arm of Mt. Redoubt volcano. I love how the sky turned a fiery orange color. Almost as if the sunset was paying tribute to the still very active volcano on the left side of the image. If you look close you can see the plume of smoke coming out of the volcano.
You can't beat a view like this. People in the lower 48 watch Alaska on TV. Instead of watching the endless list of Alaska reality TV shows I get to go out and sit on a rock and watch sunsets like this.
