    I really wanted to get this shot for a couple of years. I was finally able to time it so that the ski resort was closed, meaning all the people were gone, but the ski slopes lights were still on.

    This was taken during on Wednesday, December the 13th, during the Geminid meteor shower. Unfortunately and surprisingly I did not capture a single meteor in this shot. Every time that I would turn my camera to take a shot a meteor would fall in the opposite part of the sky. Very frustrating.

    My new Haida filters arrived for my Tamron 15-30mm. One is a graduated filter with a maximum of ND 3 stops. The other is a full ND 8. Of course I had to test them out. Unfortunatley I got out too late to truly test them out.

    Last year the Alaska Railroad constructed a fence at the first slow moving vehicle pullout. They did this becasue too many people were crossing the railroad tracks at a very unsafe place. The only way to take pictures at this location are to hold your camera above the chainlink fence.

As the sun came up the sky went through a rapid change in color. Eventually turning the fire orange/red that I posted on previous pictures
