Was hoping for not so cloudy skies tonight. unfortunately the weather did not cooperate. This is the view of Girdwood town lights to the left and Portage train depot's orange glow in the distance.
The Turnagain arm at Girdwood had a dreamy effect with the clouds moving in to cover the starry night sky. The bright lights from the ski slopes of Alyeska illuminate the clouds. Portage train depot miles down the road adds a splash of amber color to the dream like landscape.
The sleeping lady(Mount Susitna) is sleeping on top of a blanket of clouds. The city lights of Anchorage have turned the blanket of clouds into a multicolored light show. Lately we have been stuck in a cold spell that brings fog and frost. Great for photography. Bad to live in.
